Apparently Christmas is in the air, seeing as that’s mostly what us Cheap Ass bloggers have been posting about recently! But come on people, it’s just over a month to go til Santa comes to visit, which means it is time to start decorating and buying presents! So here are three of my top romantic Christmas ideas for you and your special someone this holiday season!
Best Christmas Activity – Making A Gingerbread House!
Building and decorating a gingerbread house is a great date activity for the Christmas season! Pick up a gingerbread house building kit that comes complete with the house pieces, special super sticky icing, a base and candy decorations. The craft store Michael’s stocks some nicer kits, but Walmart, Superstore and London Drugs carry them as well. I would recommend buying some extra candy, that way you can steal a couple piecing while you are decorating 
I would estimate you spending about an hour building your house …. try finishing the date off with some hot chocolate in front of your fireplace!

Best Christmas Treats – Christmas Tree Cupcakes
Impress your date with your amazing baking skills with these state-of-the-art cupcakes! To start off, either buy some cupcakes from a local bakery, or make your own batch at home. Then, turning ice cream cones upside down so they are Christmas tree shape, ice the cone green. Now, take a plastic bag and fill it with icing, then cut a small hole in one of the bottom corners (or get out a cake decorating tool if you have one!) and use it to add some garland and ornaments to your tree. Then pop the “christmas tree” on top of your cupcake, ice around it to hold it in place and you are good to go! Best Christmas Present – The Twelve Days of Christmas
So I covered baking and activities, but let’s face it, Christmas is all about the presents! So this Christmas, get your girlfriend what I think is the best present ever (and I have gotten some great Christmas presents, but this is my all-time favourite)! Instead of giving her just one present, give her twelve, one for each of the Twelve Days of Christmas! The idea is that you have two or three more expensive/special gifts spread between smaller, thoughtful presents (I even got my favourite chocolate bar one day). With the gift each day is a picture of the two of you somewhere special, or a meaningful quote. And make sure you hand deliver one gift per day, you can’t leave her with too many or she will be tempted to peek!
